E3 will return in a physical capacity next year, as the popular gaming expo confirms the return dates of in-person events. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the last E3 event to take place in a physical format was back in 2019. An online event took place in 2021, but E3 had no presence in 2022, both physically and virtually.
For the first time in four years, E3 will be back in physical form. However, the organisers have confirmed that E3 will be returning with a slightly different format to what fans were once custom to.
The E3 physical event, as Gameindustry has reported, will take place across the span of 4 days, from Tuesday, June 13th to Friday, June 16th at the Los Angeles Convention Center. In an ideal setting, there is supposed to be an equal chance for every developer to convey what their game is about or its progress to both journalists and fans alike, regardless of whether they are on-site or not.
And for that sake, E3 is now dedicating the first two days to business attendees who will be provided with all the material they need beforehand and ensure they are comfortable enough on the big day to do what they came to do.
