Tacoma (Wash.) Lincoln 2023 defensive end Jayden Wayne continues to reel in offers.

Wayne is now up to 23, with offers this week alone from Alabama, Miami and Texas.

“It’s been big, I didn’t envision this at all but all these schools believe in me,” said Wayne.

Florida, Penn State and Utah marked his offers for April before a big first week of May.

“I’ve just continued working hard and staying humble,” said Wayne.

Alabama got the week started with Wayne when Holmon Wiggins and Freddie Roach offered for the Tide.

“That meant a lot to be offered by the national champs,” said Wayne.

Then the Canes and Horns joined the fray later the same day.

“Coach (Jake) Swalley from Miami was who offered and then coach (Mike) Bimonte from Texas offered,” said Wayne.

And Wayne might not be done yet.

“I think Georgia and Clemson are close to offering,” said Wayne.

Wayne said he’s planning his summer out for visits.

“I think I might visit Florida, Washington, Oregon, Clemson, Alabama and Georgia in June,” said Wayne.

He went to Washington last month for a practice.

“I’d been to Washington for practice,” said Wayne. “Obviously, we did not meet with the coaches but the practice was fun, the coaches were energetic and the fans were loud.”

Wayne said he’s hoping to fit in some visits come the season.

“I definitely want to try and get some game day visits in the fall,” said Wayne.

The 6-5, 240-pounder said he’s thinking about doing some camps but in the meantime, he’s playing with FSP for their game against Heir later this month.

A five-star in the industry-generated 247Sports Composite Rankings, Wayne is the No. 3 strongside defensive end and the No. 1 prospect in the state of Washington in 2023.
