Fans of the CW’s Arrowverse are no strangers to the massive crossover events that take place over multiple shows while continuing interconnected stories. They also see many fan-favorite characters interact with each other, something that doesn’t normally happen until the big events. Last year’s crossover, Crisis on Infinite Earths, saw the biggest one yet.
Now, an official synopsis has been released for The Flash: Armageddon Part 1. Coming from The CW (via ComicBook), the synopsis details what fans can expect from the crossover. Details are slim in order to prevent spoilers, but it is definitely enough to hype Flash fans. Check out the full synopsis down below:
PART ONE OF THE ARMAGEDDON FIVE EPISODE EVENT – When a powerful alien threat arrives on Earth under mysterious circumstances, Barry (Grant Gustin), Iris (Candice Patton) and the rest of Team Flash are pushed to their limits in a desperate battle to save the world. But with time running out and the fate of humanity at stake, Flash and his companions will also need to enlist the help of some old friends if the forces of good are to prevail. Brandon Routh guest stars. Eric Dean Seaton directed the episode written by Eric Wallace.
Having this many heroes come together on The Flash will definitely excite fans. The Armageddon event is quickly shaping up to be one of the most epic and largest ones yet. Bringing in an alien threat for the heroes to face will definitely test their strength and their trust in each other. It will also be exciting because of the new roster. While many of the characters appearing in Armageddon have shown up before, the dynamic may feel a bit different due to Green Arrow and Supergirl’s absence.
Fans of the show have a lot to look forward to, and The Flash season 8 seems to be improving on aspects of the show that fans have wanted to see. Additionally, having the crossover air on one show instead of over multiple may help it as well, allowing for easy viewing and more investment from audiences. The description for Armageddon Part 1 definitely shows that The Flash is getting bold in its eighth season, which is important now that some key players won’t be appearing.
