There’s still a few months to go until college basketball season gets underway, but there was an interesting week of news regarding some college prospects. Emoni Bates and Jalen Duren both reclassified to the Class of 2021, entering the fray a year early.
Duren committed to Memphis, which certainly gave them a boost in CBS Sports’ latest rankings. Bates meanwhile is weighing his options between three schools or going to the G-League.
Since Duren’s commitment, the Top 25-and-1 had a slight shift with the Tigers entering the conversation. Penny Hardaway’s squad is now squarely in the mix and media members definitely took notice, considering they’re also on the finalists list for Bates.
