Birmingham (Mich.) Groves four-star Jaden Mangham will delay his commitment, which was scheduled for Sunday, August 1st.
“Due to the fact that I lost internet and AC, we will be postponing my commitment! My and I family are dealing with that right now,” he posted to social media.
Mangham, listed as an athlete, could play defensive back or wide receiver at the next level.
West Virginia leads on his 247Sports Crystal Ball, but the Mountaineers have been in a race with Illinois and then Michigan State. The Spartans have made a strong late play and hosted Mangham and his family for a Saturday visit. His older brother Jaren was recruited by Mel Tucker and some of his staff at Colorado.
He took an official with the Mountaineers in early June and has built a strong connection with assistant coach Dontae Wright. He also is close with Mountaineer commit Christion Stokes, who is also from the state of Michigan.
Mangham took an official visit with Illinois in June also and has noted how strong that visit was and how much he liked the staff.
36 schools offered in total, but those are believed to be the three in the running as he prepares to announce.
Both 247Sports and the 247Sports Composite rate Mangham a four-star prospect. Both also have him the No. 7 rising senior prospect in the state of Michigan. He played both ways for Groves as a junior, helping them to a third round playoff result. He also ran track for them.
