Back in 2018, Laura Marling and Mike Lindsay of Tunng formed LUMP and released their self-titled debut album. Today, they’ve announced the second LUMP album, Animal, which is led by the title track. Watch the “Animal” video below.
Animal is out July 30 (via Partisan/Chrysalis). Marling worked on the album while making last year’s Song for Our Daughter. “LUMP is the repository for so many things that I’ve had in my mind and just don’t fit anywhere in that way,” she said in a press release. “They don’t have to totally make narrative sense, but weirdly they end up making narrative sense in some way.”
