Kamasi Washington has released a new song titled “Sun Kissed Child.” The track appears on the new Liberated EP in The Undefeated’s Music for the Movement series, alongside other songs by Chlöe Bailey, Cordae with Common, and more. Check out below.
After releasing Heaven and Earth and its counterpart The Choice in 2018, Washington scored Michelle Obama’s Becoming documentary last year. He also joined Terrace Martin, Robert Glasper, and 9th Wonder in the supergroup Dinner Party and appeared alongside Martin, Denzel Curry, and others on the new track “PIG FEET.” Liberated follows two earlier installments: I Can’t Breathe and Black History Always.
