On Friday, Texas continued reloading its basketball roster under new head coach Chris Beard. The Longhorns landed former Minnesota basketball star Marcus Carr out of the NCAA Transfer Portal.
Texas was able to beat out Louisville, Kansas and Kentucky for Carr’s services after the 6-foot-2, 195-pound point guard named those schools as his top four earlier this month. The Longhorns were also able to hold off a push from the NBL after the Australian pro league made a late push to sign the talented Carr.
